CHOCOLATE CHIP COOKIES LOW FAT

Do you like your cookies to stay soft?
Applesauce is used in this  recipe to help them stay moist.

2 DOZEN COOKIES (made really big cookies)

INGREDIENTS:

½ cup Butter, at room temperature
½ cup Brown Sugar
½ cup Granulated Sugar
½ cup Applesauce
1 Tbsp Vanilla
1 Egg
½ cup Yogurt
3 cup Whole Wheat Flour
½ tsp Salt
2 tsp Baking Soda
12 oz bag Semi-sweet Chocolate Chips
2 Tbsp Coarse or Granulated Sugar

DIRECTIONS:

Mix in abutter, brown sugar, granulated sugar, applesauce, vanilla, egg and yogurt. Mix in dry ingredients until combined including chocolate chips. Spoon  cookies onto a cookie sheet. I used 2 tablespoons. Dampen finger tips with water and coat fingers with coarse or granulated sugar. Press cookies to 1/2 inch thickness with sugared fingers.

Bake at 350 degrees for 12-18 minutes. Let them cool on a rack.
